the museum where it is forbidden not to touch!
At this science and multimedia centre located in Vitry-sur-Seine, only 10 minutes from Paris, you will discover scientific phenomena while having fun !
Here you can enjoy science and multimedia activities and discover sustainable development in an interactive way, suitable for both children and adults.
Permanent exhibition :
Come and try over 60 exciting hands-on experiments: create an artificial tornado! make a ball float in the air, discover a cloud maker machine, moving sand dunes and dozens of optical illusions that will amaze you!
Temporary exhibitions :
« Urban Biodiversity », until August 31st, teaches you and your children how to discover wild nature hidden in cities and leads you to a better understanding of its critical necessity.
Workshops :
The Exploradôme offers two kinds of exciting workshop classes: scientific and multimedia.
Attending the multimedia workshops let you explore the virtual world, while the scientific ones let you touch, build and discover various experiments.
The APIS network :
In autumn 2012 we will launch a workshop called "the APIS" to build interactive exhibits, thanks to the governmental funding of the "Investissements d'Avenir pour la culture scientifique".
Involving researchers and teachers, the APIS will develop interactive exhibits for a network of 20 science centers. This project will allow to share resources and develop synergies for a better efficiency of these science centers.
Here are some examples of our exciting programme of activities:
Change your head: Learn how to touch up photos with Photoshop© and create an amazing self-portrait.
Suitable for children 8-12 years old.
The 5 senses: Discover the fantastic world of human senses:hearing, sight, touch, taste and smell will be stimulated through practical experiments.
Suitable for children 4-6 years old.
A world of illusions: Experience the phenomena of optical illusions with stunning images and create your own working kaleidoscope!
Suitable for children 5-10 years old.
From milk to dairy products: Find out how milk turns into different dairy products like butter and cheese…
Suitable for children 6-12 years old.
Workshops in English can be organized on request.

By train
RER C (Mona or Romi train) to Vitry-sur-Seine station. Then ten minutes walk to the Museum or bus 180 to Église de Vitry stop
